1380 Differential Shut-Off Pilot
The Model 1380 is a two-way, normally open pilot that senses a high pressure under its diaphragm and a low pressure above the diaphragm. An adjustable spring in the low pressure chamber acts to keep the pilot stem assembly latched open, allowing flow through the pilot. When the differential pressure exceeds the spring setting the pilot trips closed. It remains closed until the differential is lowered and the pilot is manually reset to the open position.
The Model 1380 is the standard pilot for OCV Model 128 Excess Flow Shut-off Valve. Sensing the differential across the valve’s integral orifice plate, the pilot closes the main valve when the rate of flow exceeds the set point.
The Model 1380 can also be used in applications where closure of a valve is required when pressure differential exceeds a given amount. Example: differential across a filter.
- Latched open, increasing differential trips pilot closed
- Simple adjustment
- Manual reset required after closing
- All parts replaceable while mounted on valve
- Stainless steel construction
